Film Photography: A Whole Story Behind
Film Photography: A Whole Story Behind
Film cameras have been largely discontinued and the first film camera I owned is 56 years old. I bought it through a used camera shop when I had spent all my savings on owning it. Funny thing is, though, I ordered it online and didn't discover its shortcomings until I had it. The film chamber's lid broke off, so each time I used it, I taped it back on to prevent it from coming off and letting light into the chamber, which would then cause the film to burn out (like the picture below. It was quite funny because I used a tape to heal an old camera but it not get better.
The camera's lens was also somewhat dented, but fortunately, I was really pleased with the first images I received from the lab after all my efforts to fix the camera. and please pardon my stupidity in not paying attention to the camera's quality before purchasing; nevertheless, as a result of that, I have knowledge in camera repair and know how to choose a camera if I ever decide to purchase another film camera.
That camera means a lot to me even though it has numerous blemishes. With it, I tinkered with how to adjust the parameters on the camera properly, buy a film with iso that is suitable for lighting conditions and many other things...
With it, I have preserved a great deal of memories that I can no longer to go back, but fortunately, I can recall them thanks to the photos I have shot. I also had owned a digital camera, but it didn't give me the same sense of satisfaction as a film camera, although each has benefits of their own. For me, a film camera will always be my first option for preserving memories.
