My Neighbor Totoro - For Every Time I'm Unsettled
Sometimes
there are moments in my life when I can't have an optimistic view of the
present and that's when I will watch it again this movie. This movie gives me
the impression that happiness is found in everything that is around us;
nevertheless, sometimes life is so chaotic that we forget about those small
pleasures.
Totoro character brings back the wonder and innocence of a happy childhood. It has a straightforward plot, although occasionally some viewers may be have some questions about the message it conveys. But I don't know why I watch this movie so frequently; it makes me feel incredibly at peace. After experiencing it repeatedly, I eventually realized what My Neighbor Totoro was trying to say.
I can see
how carefully each frame was put together, how smoothly each character moved,
and how much enthusiasm director Miyazaki Hayao put into every pictures.
The movie My Neighbor Totoro demonstrates to audiences that the world it depicts is one worth living in; there are no bad guys, no conflicts, no loads placed on children's shoulders, and no instances of separation, even the character in the movie didn't have any enmity, the only things exist in My Neighbor Totoro is love and respect.
They are heard and understood by adults. Adults pay attention to and accept what the children say. They don't take their words as jokes or exaggerations. Adults' distrust of what they say can lead to the opposite reaction for children, causing them to become more distant and unwilling to share what they are going through. In this film, the grownups are willing to listen to the kids and explain anything they observe to them in a kind and respectful manner.
Although
there are mysteries that when us watch, we still have to question whether
characters like Totoro really exist in the world, but it doesn’t matter because
what children see is not extinguished in the eyes of adults. The film brings a
very high level of education in making parents realize the importance of
listening to their children. We can see the children in My Neighbor Totoro are
living true to their childhood, innocent and carefree, with the care and
respect of adults making them believe in themselves.

Trả lờiXóaOne of my favorite animation. I think writing a script without conflict, without good and bad guys and without using a filmmaking formula that still attracting is really a challenge and may be only one of some talented directors and screenwriters like Hayao Miyazaki can do. This is not just an animation film, it is cinematic and honestly it reflected the thoughts and feelings of children about their world.
